SEPTEMBER 23, 2009 is the official NATIONAL BACK TO SCHOOL DREAM ACT DAY OF ACTION! Around the United States, 125 institutions in 26 states will “stand up for immigrant rights, access to higher education, and the values of the DREAM Act.” In hopes of informing the rest of the country, "this time the DREAM Act will not come up short, but that justice will prevail and they [students] can finally be accepted as members of society.” The events vary from rallies, petition drives, forums, to informational pickets and conferences. PLEASE! Student and community members come out and support the dreams of millions of undocumented students. For those of us who live in Southern California, here is a list of the institutions participating:
